Summary: Imhotep may have been the greatest menace to Egypt in this trilogy...but he was hardly the first blight upon the African sands. That title would go to a warlord so evil that Imhotep himself was willing to kill him, albeit just so that he could take the keys for the army behind him.

History: In the time of ancient Egypt, a legendary warrior known as the Scorpion King led a great and terrible army across the land, destroying all in their wake. But one humiliating defeat in Thebes later, and he and his army are left to die in the blistering desert. Out of desperation, the King offered his soul to Anubis, and got a nice army of Anubis-like warriors out of it. But once enough conquering had been done, the Scorpion King was sealed away in his pyramid with the rest of his army. Now, anyone who dares go into that pyramid and fight the Scorpion King will have the chance to either take his army for themselves or banish it forever. They just need the Spear of Osiris to do it. And a cult that recently resurrected Imhotep would REALLY like to get their hands on that army.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: It is Imhotep's old nemesis, Rick O'Connell, who ultimately stabs the Scorpion King through the torso with the Spear of Osiris. Even as the Army of Anubis storms the mortal realm, Rick chooses to banish them, sending the King and his army back to the Underworld.

Powers/Abilities: The Scorpion King controls the Army of Anubis, which is practically unstoppable.

Weakness: Only the Spear of Osiris can penetrate his hide.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-The CGI is monstrously awful for the standards of a big-budget blockbuster. The King looks like what happens if you were to photoshop Dwayne Johnson's torso onto an admittingly intimidating demon scorpion's body. His army is large, but the effects hardly fare any better.

Trivia: -A five-film spin-off series was made all about the Scorpion King's rise to power, though it has recently been stated that this Scorpion King and that franchise's are only related, not one in the same.

-An Egyptian Goddess associated with scorpions was Serqet, who acted as a protector to mankind and her fellow Gods when they needed it, but at the same time she was not above punishing people with venomous animals.
